Lauren’s Band
Blending Americana, classic country, bluegrass, swing, R&B, and timeless pop, Lauren and her band bring a rich, soulful sound to weddings, private parties, and special events throughout the Southeast and beyond. Their repertoire spans legends like Elvis, Hank Williams, Al Green, Roberta Flack, Frank Sinatra, Carole King, Bonnie Raitt, Van Morrison, Fleetwood Mac, and many more—creating performances that feel both nostalgic and fresh.
At the heart of the group is Charleston, SC native Lauren Bevins, whose smooth, expressive vocals have been compared to Norah Jones and Diana Krall. A gifted mandolinist and guitarist, Lauren has been part of Charleston’s vibrant music scene for years, performing with local bands as well as writing and recording her own original music. With this ensemble, she has found the perfect platform to showcase her artistry and connection with audiences.
The band performs in multiple configurations: an intimate acoustic trio of guitar, mandolin, and upright bass for organic, unplugged settings, or a larger ensemble that adds drums for a more dynamic, danceable sound.
Rounding out the group are Lauren’s husband, Matt Cahill, a versatile musician covering upright bass, drums, harmonica, and vocals, and longtime collaborator Joe Marlow, a multi-instrumentalist and standout guitarist who also serves as the band’s primary songwriter. Matt and Joe grew up playing music together in Nashville, cutting their teeth in local gigs and even opening for major acts like Foreigner in their early rock band days.
Together, this band creates a warm, genre-blending live experience that feels timeless, inviting, and perfect for celebrations of all kinds.
