30-Piece Pop String Orchestra at The Knot 30th Anniversary Gala in New York City

Some events become defining moments in a company’s journey, and performing at The Knot’s 30th Anniversary Gala was certainly one of them.

Kiral Artists had the honor of providing a 30-piece pop string orchestra for The Knot’s milestone celebration at Halo Twenty Eight in New York City. The evening brought together nearly 1,000 wedding professionals from across the country, including wedding planners, venues, photographers, floral designers, rental companies, and other leaders of the wedding industry to celebrate one of the world’s most recognizable wedding brands.

Our orchestra welcomed guests as they arrived on the event’s spectacular pink carpet, where hundreds of attendees stopped for photos before entering the venue. It was one of those evenings where every detail came together beautifully. Guests looked incredible in elegant gowns, colorful cocktail dresses, and impeccably tailored tuxedos, creating an atmosphere that felt more like a fashion event than a traditional gala.

For this special occasion, Kiral Artists produced a custom 30-piece pop string orchestra consisting of 30 musicians led by a female conductor. The orchestra performed a 90-minute nonstop set during guest arrival, carefully designed to complement the elegance and excitement of the evening.

Rather than performing traditional classical repertoire, we created a custom set list featuring contemporary pop covers alongside Bridgerton-inspired arrangements. Guests recognized melodies by Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Adele, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, and many other iconic artists, all reimagined for a full string orchestra. Familiar music performed in an orchestral style created a sophisticated atmosphere while adding energy and excitement to the arrival experience.

The orchestra also became part of the visual design of the event. Our female musicians wore elegant white gowns, while the gentlemen performed in custom pink suits inspired by the event’s signature color palette. Combined with the dramatic pink carpet, beautiful floral design, and stylish guests, the orchestra became more than entertainment—it became part of the overall guest experience.

Inside Halo Twenty Eight, guests enjoyed interactive food stations featuring gourmet hors d’oeuvres, handcrafted cocktails, and an elegant atmosphere before the evening transformed into a lively celebration with a live band and DJ.

One of the rooms featured a curated exhibition showcasing the evolution of wedding fashion over the past 30 years. Guests explored iconic wedding gowns, classic tuxedos, vintage hair accessories, and memorable wedding trends, celebrating how bridal style has evolved throughout The Knot’s three decades.

I would also like to mention the beautiful floral design by TFW Design and the incredible job of the event planner, Jason Rhee, of Rheefined.

The celebration continued until 11:00 PM, followed by an exclusive after-party where guests kept the energy going late into the night.

As guests departed, The Knot added one final surprise to end the evening on a high note. Outside the venue, a branded gift truck welcomed attendees with complimentary gift bags filled with The Knot merchandise, including commemorative T-shirts, magazines, and other fun keepsakes.

This wasn’t our first collaboration with The Knot and WeddingPro. Over the years, Kiral Artists has had the privilege of providing live entertainment for several of their events.
